TM1204 – Ferrari 275 (1967)

The Ferrari 275 GTB/4, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1966, represents the evolution of the earlier 275 GTB introduced two years prior. It was the first road-going Ferrari to feature a V12 engine with four overhead camshafts, hence the “/4” designation. This 3.3-liter engine, derived from Formula 1 experience, produced around 300 horsepower, delivering excellent performance and a distinctive sound.

The body was designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti in steel, with some lightweight aluminum versions made for racing or special clients. With its elegant lines, long hood, and short rear, the 275 GTB/4 is considered one of the most beautiful coupés of the 1960s. Technically advanced for its time, it introduced a rear-mounted transaxle gearbox and fully independent suspension, greatly improving balance and handling.

Produced in around 330 units until 1968, the 275 GTB/4 is now one of the most sought-after and valuable classic Ferraris. Made even more famous by celebrities like Steve McQueen, it is regarded as the perfect blend of elegance, innovation, and pure driving passion — a true symbol of Ferrari’s golden era.
