TM1242 – Bugatti EB 110 SS (1991-1995)

The Bugatti EB 110 SS (Super Sport), unveiled in 1992, is the most extreme and lightweight version of the EB 110 GT — the supercar that marked Bugatti’s return after decades of inactivity. Designed by a team led by Paolo Stanzani and developed under the direction of Romano Artioli, the EB 110 SS represents advanced technology, breathtaking performance, and futuristic design.

Powered by a 3.5-liter V12 engine with four turbochargers, the SS version delivers 611 hp (compared to the GT’s 560 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 3.2 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 355 km/h. Its carbon fiber monocoque chassis, built by Aérospatiale, along with all-wheel drive, ensures lightness, rigidity, and control.

Visually, it features larger air intakes, unique wheels, and more aggressive details. The interior is stripped-down compared to the GT to reduce weight. Only 30 units of the EB 110 SS were produced.

Today, the EB 110 SS is one of the rarest and most fascinating supercars of the 1990s. A symbol of innovation and ambition, it represents a unique chapter in Bugatti’s history — a bold step before the brand’s full rebirth with the Veyron.
