TMR1257 – Ferrari 330 P4 Spider (1967)

The Ferrari 330 P4 Spider is one of the most iconic race cars in Ferrari’s history, renowned for its stunning design and success in endurance racing during the 1960s. An evolution of the 330 P3, the P4 was developed to compete against the dominant Ford GT40 in the World Sportscar Championship.

Unveiled in 1967, the 330 P4 featured a 4.0-liter V12 engine producing around 450 hp, derived from Ferrari’s Formula 1 technology. The Spider version, with an open-top body, was built for slower or hotter circuits where reduced weight and better cooling were advantageous. Only one true P4 Spider was built, with chassis #0856, although other cars were later converted.

The 330 P4’s most legendary moment came at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona, where Ferrari famously finished in the top three positions, staging a symbolic “parade” at the finish line in response to the defeat at Le Mans in 1966. The Spider #0856 finished second, just behind the P4 coupe #0846.

Today, the 330 P4 Spider is one of the rarest and most sought-after Ferraris in the world, a symbol of a golden era of racing where elegance and power were perfectly combined.
