TMR1261 – Ferrari 250 LM (1965)

The Ferrari 250 LM is one of the most legendary cars in Ferrari and motorsport history. Introduced in 1963, the 250 LM was created to compete in the World Sportscar Championship (WSC) as a racing vehicle.

Designed by Carlo Chiti and Giotto Bizzarrini, the 250 LM featured a 3.3-liter V12 engine, derived from the 250 GTO, producing about 280 hp. The car was distinguished by its mid-mounted engine, a first for Ferrari, and a lightweight aluminum body, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 280 km/h.

Its greatest triumph came in 1965, when the 250 LM won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most prestigious results in Ferrari’s history. This victory cemented the 250 LM’s place as one of the most respected cars in motorsport.

Despite initial difficulties in finding a place in production racing categories, the 250 LM remained one of Ferrari’s most desirable models. Today, it is one of the rarest and most sought-after collector’s cars, symbolizing Ferrari’s technical and stylistic mastery.
